Rico Castro

Comptroller
rcastro@socalvetgroup.com

Rico hails from Cleveland, Ohio, which still holds his heart for the land and its teams, and is where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Case Western Reserve University. He joined SCVG in 2013 as a technician and office manager, and then was named to the comptroller/accounts payable position in 2015. He strongly believes there can never be too many books to read, and counts modern comedic satirist Christopher Moore as a personal favorite. He also takes great pride in being a fan of George R.R. Martin’s “A Game of Thrones” before the television show was even a concept, and places “The Hobbit” at the very top of his all-time favorite reads. He tends to watch too many movies and way too much TV, highly recommending “The Man in the High Castle,” and he can quote “Arrested Development” and “Archer” all day long. A self-proclaimed huge trivia nerd, as of June 2018 he is thrilled to join the elite group of people who can call themselves “Jeopardy Champion”! Rico is thankful that his three cats, Elayne, Aviendha and Eduardo, allow him to live in their home… as long as he keeps feeding them and they don’t mind having their photos regularly posted on social media.
